I had a very enjoyable stay at this quiet and clean hostel. The location was perfect, as it was close to the colorful and beautiful city streets. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I particularly liked the fact that there was a pool, which provided a great way to cool off after exploring the city. The rooms were cleaned well every day, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The WiFi was also excellent. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

I had a fantastic stay at Hostal Casa Escallon. I was in Cartagena for a week, exploring the historic center and Getsemani neighborhood. The hostel's location was perfect, allowing me to walk to attractions like San Felipe de Barajas Castle and Bocagrande beach. Despite the bustling street during the day, it was quiet and safe at night. The pool was a refreshing treat after a day of exploring, and the WiFi and comfortable bed made my stay even better. The staff, especially Kevin, Geraldo, Antonio, Monica, Liliana, and Seno, were incredibly helpful and made me feel welcome.
Would recommend this hotel.

Nice Pool and Air conditioning and fan available. Good location between the old city and Getsemani, offering easy access to both areas.
The street in front of the hotel can appear dirty and dark at night. The A/C in the room was not very effective.

The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and supportive. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked really well, which was a major plus in the hot weather. The rooftop area was fantastic, with comfy lounge chairs and tables where we could relax and enjoy the view. We also loved the internal gardens, they were beautiful and added to the overall ambiance of the hotel.

Great cushions and everything is new and neat. the computers and roof terrace were nice additions to the hostel experience. the hostel's location was also key, as it was centrally located within the city, making it convenient to explore and enjoy all the attractions nearby.
The kitchen was poorly equipped, lacking essential items like glasses, cups, and cutlery. It would have been nice if they added these supplies in the future.
